Essential Oils

The use of essential oils can be dated back thousands of years. Ancient Chinese writings include the use of essential oils for medicinal use, and the Bible refers to the use of essential oils over 170 times. The story of the birth of Jesus includes the three wise men bringing Frankincense and Myrrh. People aren’t told the significance of these oils. Both of these oils have specific medicinal properties that are used against microorganisms. No better gift could be given to a new mother than a gift to maintain the health of her infant!

In the past, the appropriate use of oils was passed down from generation to generation. Now, the medicinal qualities of each essential oil is researched and documented and their use for specific purposed can be obtained through educational opportunities and books. Marvelous references are available to learn what has been shown to assist in health issues ranging from things such as a small cut (physical) to stress related issues such as anxiety (emotional). The use of oils is vast and unlimited.

Essential oils are used topically, their aroma inhaled, or they can be taken internally. The term “aroma therapy” stems from their use when the “aroma” is inhaled. The “aroma” has been shown to activate the brain in the amygdala - which is the very deepest part of the ancient brain. The medicinal properties are thought to be “vibrational” as well as physical, and that accounts for the measurable benefit – such as relaxing or energizing - from inhaling the aroma of the oil.

The most significant issue related to the use of essential oils for medicinal purposes – not just the hype from pretty scented candles or lotions – is the purity of the oil. The essential must be organic, without the residue of any chemicals, and of optimal strength or concentration, not diluted with inferior oils. This issue must be made clear. Artificial fragrances do not have medicinal value. Only the purest oils are suggested for your health. Further information about this may be obtained by contacting me directly.

Essential oils are truly a gift, from what we refer to as “God’s pharmacy.”

We believe that everything that we need to heal can be obtained from nature. We just need to look, learn, and listen.
